Analysis of Semi-Lagrangian Method for Saint-Venant Equations

This paper analyses the stability of characteristics (or semi-Lagrangian) method for a class of Saint-Venant equations including viscous effects. As a main result we prove that the method is consistent of first order in time. Optimal error estimates are given for both free surface height and velocity field.
