Harmonic 1-Type Submanifolds of Euclidean Spaces

In the present paper we study submanifolds M in a Euclidean m-space Em which satisfies the condition ?DH + ?H = 0, where H is the mean curvature vector field, ? is a real number and ?D stands for the Laplacian with respect to the normal connection acting on sections of the normal bundle. Submanifolds satisfying this condition are called harmonic 1-type.
