Optimal energy decay for a nonhomogeneous hybrid system of elasticity

The problem of boundary feedback stabilization of the well known nonhomogeneous Scole model is considered. By using an abstract result of Riesz basis, we show that the closedloop system is a Riesz spectral system. The asymptotic distribution of eigenvalues, the spectrum determined growth condition, and the exponential stability are concluded.
