Longitudinal Analysis of Population Mean on Successive Occasionsy
The problem of longitudinal analysis of population mean in two occasion successive sampling is considered. The usefulness of exponential type estimators in enhancing the working efficiency of different ratio type estimators for population mean, when embedded with auxiliary information which is stable over time in two occasion successive sampling have been explored. Theoretical properties including optimum replacement strategies of the proposed estimators are discussed. The proposed estimators are compared with each other and with other well-known existing estimators in two occasion successive sampling. The results are supported with empirical validation and simulation study based on some natural population.
