An Improved Class of Estimators of Finite Population Mean in Stratified Random Sampling under Non-Response
The present paper deals with the problem of estimating the mean of a stratified population utilizing the information on an auxiliary variable in the presence of non-response. In this paper, we have suggested an improved class of estimators of the finite population mean. The suggested class can generate the non-response version of a number of well known existing estimators and some other new estimators of the population mean. The properties of the suggested class of estimators have been discussed in detail. An empirical study has also been carried out to demonstrate the theoretical facts.
