Cascading Failure of Complex Network Based on the Routing Strategy of Gravitation Theory

Zhang Xiping, Li Yongshu, Liu Gang, Wang Lei

Abstract

Based on the load-capacity model research about the complex network of cascading failure, this paper analyses the defects of the currently existing model, proposes a mechanism based on the gravitational field theory of complex network routing algorithm for dynamic flow assigning of cascading failure strategy. It applies the ratio of average shortest path as an evaluation index of cascading failure. To validate this method of cascading failures, we make experiments in contrast with shortest path routing algorithm and gravity field routing algorithm in complex network of cascading failures. The research results show that this approach applied in the text more accurately reflects the complex network of cascading failure in a flow state and the analysis conclusion can provide some references in decision-making for reliability study of complex networks.
