Analysis of Teaching Effectiveness for English Classroom Based on FIAS

Abstract


Flanders Interaction Analysis System (FIAS) is a classroom analysis technique with unique functions and wide influence, characterized by strong structuralized and quantitative study. FIAS can qualitatively and quantitatively analyze classroom teaching essence and teaching law. Combination of this system and actual classroom environment and teachers’ factors can well reflect classroom teaching features. This paper combines this system with classroom environment and teaching theories to summarize and conclude influencing factors of English classroom teaching and features of successful classroom teaching. This paper applies the analysis results to explore new methods of English classroom teaching and provides certain guidance and suggestions for teachers.
