Abstract

The aiming of this research is to improve the utilization rate of agricultural irrigation water with a soil moisture monitoring system, which based on Zigbee wireless network and variable universe fuzzy controller. A data acquisition system composed of the CC2430 processor, sensor module was developed, which has the advantages of automatic collection, storage and ultra-low power consumption. All of the nodes in monitoring area use solar power. In view of low accuracy of the fuzzy control algorithm, this thesis adopts the variable universe adaptive fuzzy control method on the soil moisture control. Through the system model analysis, the soil moisture model is simplified as a first-order large inertia and large delay system. By the means of writing S function of the variable universe fuzzy control, building control system block diagram, finally realize the accurate control of the controlled object. Experiments show that the average error between set values and measured values is 2.09% when the probe is embed for the depth of 30 cm. Therefore this system could realize real-time monitoring and recording of soil moisture information, which could provide data supports through variable universe fuzzy control for further water-saving irrigation.
