The Comprehensive Evaluation Model of Water Resource Carrying Capacity For China

Abstract


In this paper we discuss the water resource carrying capacity for China. Firstly, we build the radial basis function (RBF) neural networks to predict the water supply, demand, GDP and the population of China from 2011 to 2025. The simulation results show that the model has high simulation accuracy. Secondly, the WRCC model was established to compute the comprehensive evaluation index of water resource carrying capacity of China. By calculating the value of CW, FeI, FpI, CCI and CHI, we found that northern China faces serious water challenge while the southern China has surplus water storage. There is a crucial challenging task for water resources management in China.
