A Uniqueness Theorem for an Elliptic Equation

In this work we study the solutions of a linear elliptic equation, which serves as a model of many linearized equations of nonlinear problems. By assuming a natural growth condition of the solutions at infinity we prove that the only solution is zero. The result of this work can be used to study the asymptotic behavior of blowup solutions for some nonlinear elliptic equations.
