Approximate Method of a Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations with Periodic Coefficients

In this paper we apply a kind of Fourier expansion (FE) to a class of nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NSEs) with periodic coefficients. A kind of approximate solution based on this expansion is proposed and investigated. Numerical experiments show validity of such expansion with first terms’ truncation of the expansion in preserving the wave shape of the solution of the considered NSEs.
