Mathematical Modeling and Computer Simulation of Codes with Variable Bit-Length

M. Musilek, S. Hubalovsky, M. Hubalovska

Abstract

Mathematical modeling and computer simulation is currently understand as the most important part of current scientific research and scientific work. The mathematical modeling and computer simulation are understand us new educational method as well. The principles of mathematical modeling and computer simulation can be implemented to learning of both science and technics as well as humanities and social studies. The learning via modeling and simulation develops student’s discovering, creation, computational and logical thinking. It helps students to understand science’s and technical phenomena and processes. The paper demonstrates process of mathematical modeling and computer simulation in learning of prospective teacher of informatics in form of codes with variable bit-length (Morse code and Varicode). The theoretical background of the variable bit-length coding modeling, problem analysis and design of computer simulation model in Visual Basic for Excel are presented in form of the case study.
