State Estimation for a Class of Nonlinear Distributed Parameter Tubular Reactor

Abstract


We present an exponentially convergent observer for a class of nonlinear systems arising from an isothermal plug flow reaction process, based on the observability of a linear set of partial differential equations and using the compacity of the related C0−semigroup. Perfor-mance issues of the proposed observer design are illustrated by simulation results.
