A Stochastic Model for the Population Dynamics of Budding Yeast

We propose a multi-type branching process as a model for the dynamics of budding yeast populations Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. The main purpose of this paper is to establish the existence of the Malthusian parameter, and then solve integral equations to get the stable type distribution. Once these objects are settled, we discuss the asymptotic behavior of the population.
