Effect of Climate Change on Biomass and Human Population Intensified by Unplanned Urbanization

Manju Agarwal, Niharika Verma

Abstract

This paper aims to see the effect of climate change on the human population and biomass surmounted by unplanned urbanization. Model is formulated using the system of non-linear differential equations. In the modeling process, four variables are considered, namely, density of biomass, population density, unplanned urbanization and change in the climate. It is assumed that, human population and biomass growing logistically. Criteria for the local stability and global stability of the non-negative equilibrium points are obtained. Furthermore, the results are also illustrated using numerical simulation. It has been shown that biomass and population decreases due to climate change intensified by unplanned urbanization.

Keywords

mathematical model, equilibrium points, global stability, local stability, climate change.
