New class of weighted third-order methods without second derivative to solve nonlinear equations

In this paper we propose a new family of weighted Chebyshev-Halley type methods to solve nonlinear equations. These methods do not require the evaluation of the second derivative of the considered function. We show that their order of convergence is three in the case of simple roots. A comparison with other methods is given.
