A Generalized Class of Estimators of Population Mean in Two-Phase Sampling Using Two Auxiliary Variables
In this paper, a generalized class of estimators has been developed for estimating the finite population mean in two-phase sampling using two auxiliary variables. The expression for mean square error (MSE) of the proposed class has been derived to the first order of approximation. The proposed class of estimators has been compared with the other existing estimators using MSE criterion, and the conditions under which the proposed class performs better have been obtained. Theoretical results have been validated with the help
of an empirical analysis.
