Synthetic Estimator for Domain Mean Using Two Auxiliary Characters in the Presence of Unit Non-Response

B. B. Khare, Ashutosh, S. Khare

Abstract

In this article, we have proposed generalized synthetic estimator for domain mean of the study character in the presence of unit non-response using auxiliary character x and z with known domain mean and . The members of the proposed estimator are also identified. The proposed estimator is compared with the generalized synthetic estimator for domain mean using auxiliary character, ratio synthetic estimator for domain mean using two auxiliary characters in terms of the absolute relative bias (ARB) and the simulated relative standard error (SRSE) using the real data (Sarndal et al.1992 in appendix B). With the help of empirical study for two populations, it has been found that the proposed estimator is preferred over relevant estimators and under the synthetic assumption in terms of SRSE.

Keywords
