Statistical Analysis as Approach to Reliability Testing of Thermal properties in Building Insulation

Anna Antonyová, Peter Antony, Endra Joelianto

Abstract

The contribution is influenced with the problem of high investment into insulation installation on building envelope. To make the costs reasonable it is needed to be aware of the insulation reliability and possibility to test it without disturbing of its function also after the period of 10 or 15 years. One of the risk processes that remarkably influence the insulation
reliability is the high humidity level in the cavity between the wall and insulation. The new dynamic measurement system was invented to increasing the communication about the properties of both the humidity and temperature values especially in the cavity. The system comprises processor to control the data mining and modeling the mutual coherence of the testing equipment. Obtained values are used not only to prevent the material destruction and microorganisms prevention because of the high humidity level in the cavity but also to test the thermal properties using the method of statistical analysis.

Keywords

statistical analysis, risk processes, insulation, modeling, physical properties.
