Numerical Simulation of Flow Field in Ultrasonic Aided Hot-Dip Aluminizing by FLUENT

Aluminum coating can be achieved by hot-dip aluminizing on work piece surface of complex shape under the aid of ultrasonic vibration. The distribution of the pressure and velocity of the flow field in the aluminum liquid has great influence on the quality of the aluminum coating. The CFD model of ultrasonic aided hot-dip aluminizing system was established and analyzed by FLUENT software in this research. The influence law of ultrasonic vibration on flow field of aluminum liquid was achieved, which offers the basis for optimization of the process parameters.
