Abstract

In this paper, a new piston type accumulator is proposed to achieve high efficiency of hydraulic servo system. That is named Active Charge Accumulator (ACA). The effective piston area on the oil side of ACA can be controlled by operating directional control valves at the inlet of oil rooms to realize the load sensing. The characteristics and the working principles of ACA are described, and mathematical model is set up. In order to study its characteristics, mathematical model of the hydraulic servo system using the 2-level pressure ACA is set up. High efficiency of the system is verified by simulation results of positon response and force response. Mathematical modeling and simulation results of the system form the basis of application of a hydraulic servo system using ACA.

Keywords
