The Influence of Perforation Density on Polymer Flooding Development Effect

YIN Daiyin, Song Yue

Abstract

Based on the polymer flooding mechanism and the seepage theory, the productivity formula associated with perforation density is derived by the green function method in view of other mathematical models of polymer flooding. Then mathematical model is established by developing the productivity formula for further research on simulating, calculating and studying the influence of perforation density on polymer flooding development effect. The simulated formation is heterogeneous. According to the calculation results, the variation of recovery, water content and flowing pressure of injection well are analyzed after the perforation density of high permeability layer in heterogeneous formation is controlled. This method can overcome the defect caused by the ignorance of the influence of perforation density on polymer flooding. The polymer injection rate in different permeability layers can be adjusted and the well productivity can be increased by scientifically controlling the perforation density of high permeability layer. Based on these studies, the field can be guided scientifically and efficiently.

Keywords
