A Goodness-of-fit Test for a Competing Risk Model

N. Seddik-Ameur, S. Chouia

Competing risks models are widly used in reliability and survival analysis. This work is devoted to the construction of a modified chi-squared goodness-of-fit test for Bertholon distribution competing risks. We use the NRR (Nikulin-Rao-Robson) statistic based on maximum likelihood estimation for ungrouped data. Real data sets from reliability and simulated data are used to illustrate this study.

Bertholon distribution - Fisher information - goodness-of-fit test- maximum likelihood estimation - NRR statistic.
