Co-cheating Prevention Visual Cryptography Scheme Based on Random Numbers

Li-guo Fang, Zheng-xin Fu, Yu Bin, Jin-yuan Lu

Abstract

A novel co-cheating prevention visual cryptography scheme (VCS) based on random numbers is proposed in this paper. Shares are created by random numbers, and the (n, n) secret sharing algorithm is implemented through special algorithms in the scheme. Furthermore, the scheme is expanded to general access structure using cumulative array. Theoretical proof and experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme not only prevents co-cheating well, but also reduces storing costs, as there is no pixel expansion. Moreover, it alleviates participant’s extra burden, since verification shares are unnecessary.
