Numerical Simulation for Surfactant Flooding in Dual Media Low Permeability Reservoir

Yin Daiyin, Yuan He, Wang Xueyan

Abstract

A dual media mathematical model of surfactant flooding of three-dimensional, two-phase, three-component, non-Darcy in low-permeability fractured reservoir was established based on the characteristics of low porosity, low permeability, fracture and threshold pressure gradient existing in the low-permeability reservoir. The establishment of such model also took low-permeability fractured reservoir as dual media composed of matrix and fracture systems, considering the flow of fluid in the dual media, the changes of threshold pressure gradient and the influence of surfactant on convection, diffusion, adsorption and retention. The model was then solved by using the finite difference method. The paper took the surfactant flooding test area in Yushulin oilfield as an example, The reasonable injection scheme including surfactant concentration, slug size and slug combination was chosen and optimized using numerical simulation method, combining with the economic effect evaluation.
