Network Calculus Based on Priority in Self-Similarity Flow

Li Qing-hua, Cao Hong, Wu Yu-feng, Xia Zhuo-qun

Abstract

The wireless mesh networks traffic is of self-similarity. However, there is little research on network calculus in self-similarity traffic. In this paper, according to different priority of each data packet in self-similarity flow, encoding different priority data packet is proposed in the network calculus operation, so it is to further improve the quality of service in wireless mesh network. Comprehensive simulations and results verify the validation of the theoretical results in the paper.

Keywords

Wireless mesh networks, network calculus, self-similarity, priority.
