A predator-prey model with strong Allee effect and disease in prey population

Sudeshna Mondal, Alakes Maiti, G. P. Samanta

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to study the dynamical behaviour of a ratio-dependent predator-prey model with disease in prey. We have also incorporated a strong Allee effect. The total prey population is divided into two subdivisions, namely susceptible prey population and infected prey population. It is assumed that both the prey populations are consumed by the predator. The positivity and uniform boundedness of the dynamical system
are discussed. We have analysed stability of the equilibrium points. It is also pointed out that around an interior equilibrium point a Hopf-bifurcation has occurred considering susceptible prey survival threshold parameter as bifurcating parameter. To verify our analytical findings, numerical simulations are carried out using MATLAB.
