Damaged Monuments Reconstruction Based on 3D Vision
Xiaofen Wang, Yanzhen Wang, Kai Lu
Abstract
Research restoration of monuments and accurate reconstruction of three-dimensional models. Conservation and restoration of monuments recovery process, the need for damage, wear pale parts of three-dimensional computer reconstruction, once the damaged parts, restore feature will be less residual larger or badly worn. The traditional method of visual recovery monuments serious wear or damage is large, the estimated recovery feature is difficult to ensure consistency, leading to rebuild ineffective. This paper presents a method to reconstruct the damaged monuments multi-level estimation model based texture mapping. The principle underlying the multi-layered analysis monuments relation model combined with texture mapping, texture mapping can be obtained multi-layered model, the input to the damaged sites of the model feature points, so as to obtain a more accurate feature mapping relationship. According to the characteristics of the mapping relationships, build monuments damaged three-dimensional visual model, enabling reconstruction of damaged monuments. Experimental results show that the improved model rebuild damaged monuments, can greatly improve the reconstruction of monuments fidelity.
