Some Aspects of Measuring Agreement Between two Raters Based on a Bivariate Normal Distribution

P. Yimprayoon

Abstract

In this research we address the statistical inference of measuring agreement between two raters who employ measurements on a continuous scale. The purpose of this study is to propose a new test statistic based on the notion of Fisher’s combination of p-values in testing agreement under a bivariate normal distribution for small and large sample sizes. Further, the power of our proposed test statistic is computed via simulation. All test procedures in this research are also illustrated using an application to a real data set of a large sample size. The result of this study shows that making inference in testing agreement is feasible under a bivariate normal set-up for all sample sizes by using our proposed test statistic.
