Fuzzy Logic-based Stabilization of Nonlinear Time-Varying Systems

Radu-Emil Precup, Marius L. Tomescu, Stefan Preitl, Emil M. Petriu

Abstract

This paper presents a new stability analysis method for a class of Single Input-Single Output nonlinear time-varying processes based on stabilizing Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs). The stability analysis is done in the sense of Lyapunov resulting in the derivation of an original stability analysis approach that can be used as design method for a generic class of stabilizing FLCs. The approach is expressed in terms of sufficient inequality-type stability conditions. An illustrative example validates the theory.

Keywords
